After the initial claims of Jesus resurrection were reported to the disciples, they did not believe it because is “seemed like nonsense to them” (Luke 24:11). As they encountered Jesus in person, they had to wrestle with the reality of his resurrection and what it meant for them. Our passage for the weekend outlines five stages we experience when we begin to take Jesus and his resurrection seriously. We will walk through each of them with an eye toward what the reality of the resurrection means for our lives.
