We conclude our series titled, “The Way of Jesus.” In this series, we have been observing the ways of Jesus so we might follow him more faithfully by imitating what he did. Dietrich Bonhoeffer once wrote, “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die” (Cost of Discipleship, p.99). God does not exist for us; we exist for God. Taking up our cross and dying to ourselves is the only way to follow God’s example and become more like Jesus.
