Call to Worship: based on Colossians 1:15-17 Janna Kooi, Saara Spitzer
"God of Wonders" (The Worship Initiative with Shane & Shane)
Lyrics below video
Lord of all creation, of water, earth, and sky
the heavens are your tabernacle; Glory to the Lord on high!
God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares your majesty
You are holy, holy
Lord of heaven and earth, Lord of heaven and earth
Early in the morning I will celebrate the light
When I stumble in the darkness I will call your name by night
God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares your majesty
You are holy, holy
Lord of heaven and earth, Lord of heaven and earth
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares your majesty
You are holy, holy
God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares your majesty
You are holy, holy
Lord of heaven and earth (4x)
Declaration of Trust & God's Greeting
People of Jesus Christ, in whom are you trusting?
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Grace, mercy and peace to you
in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit
Amen.

Prayer of Confession
Words of Assurance (Colossians 1:21-23, read bold aloud in unison)
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds
because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you
by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.
“But new creation has already begun.
The sun has begun to rise.
Christians are called to leave behind, in the tomb of Jesus Christ,
all that belongs to the brokenness and incompleteness of the present world ...
That, quite simply, is what it means to be Christian:
to follow Jesus Christ into the new world, God's new world,
which he has thrown open before us.”

"Amazing Grace" (John Newton, 1779, arr. Darlene Zschech)

Sharing Christ's Peace
Because God has given us his peace, we are invited to share the peace of Christ with others. Whether digitally through a text message or by turning to someone next to you, share the peace of Christ now with the words: "The peace of Christ be with you!" If you are on the receiving end of these words, you are invited to reply, "And also with you."
The Peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you!
A life of generosity, for all who know Christ, means the opportunity to draw closer to God, now and in eternity. It means joy, a fulfilled heart, and the potential to store up treasures in heaven. Once you take hold of it, once you begin to feel the change generosity brings into your life, you will feel a strong calling to share the message with others.
