"Come, Thou Fount of Ev'ry Blessing" (Indelible Grace/Matthew Smith)
Declaration of Trust & God's Greeting
People of Jesus Christ, in whom are you trusting?
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Grace, mercy and peace to you
in the name of the father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit
Oh my God hear my cry - from the depths I call out to You
You give your mercy and light in the dark and the wilderness
My soul finds rest in God alone
My salvation comes from Him
My soul finds rest God is my hope
I will not be shaken I will not be shaken
You are my shield and my strength, train my feet for this battle
Our God is mighty to save; I will wait, I will wait for him
O my strength I sing praise to You. O my strength I sing praise to you
In joy or pain I sing praise to You, night or day I sing praise to you
Prayer of Confession
Generous God, giver of every good and perfect gift,
we are grateful that you faithfully provide for our needs.
We constantly desire more, we quickly become dissatisfied,
and we easily envy what others have or what we think will give us contentment or joy.
Forgive us of our greed; cure us of our idolatry; and teach us contentment.
In the Scriptures you promise: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Forgive us when we do not look to you as our satisfaction and ultimate contentment.
For you created us, know us intimately and have given us all necessary things,
including the gift of the salvation through your Son, Jesus Christ,
in whose precious and holy name we pray. Amen.
Words of Assurance (Psalm 103:8-13)
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him
Sharing Christ's Peace
Because God has given us his peace, we are invited to share the peace of Christ with others. Whether digitally through a text message or by turning to someone next to you, share the peace of Christ now with the words: "The peace of Christ be with you!" If you are on the receiving end of these words, you are invited to reply, "And also with you."
The Peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you!
A life of generosity, for all who know Christ, means the opportunity to draw closer to God, now and in eternity. It means joy, a fulfilled heart, and the potential to store up treasures in heaven. Once you take hold of it, once you begin to feel the change generosity brings into your life, you will feel a strong calling to share the message with others.

Message: "The Secret of Contentment" David Bast
Let your arms surround me, those who try to wound me
cannot reach me here
Though the world is shaking, earth and nations quaking
Jesus calms my fear
Satan's force must run its course and his bitter storms assail me
Jesus will not fail me
Banish thoughts of sadness for the Lord of gladness
Jesus, enters in
Though the clouds may gather those who love the Savior
still have peace within
Though I bear much sorrow, here still in you lies purest pleasure
Jesus, priceless treasure
